Hi! My name is Grace, and I'm a high school student from the UK. I have lived in Europe and Asia Pacific before. My academic performance has always been excellent. When I graduated from elementary school, my outstanding SSAT score allowed me to get admission to a very prestigious private school. When I was growing up, I had the opportunity to reach and serve many people at the bottom of society. I went to the Middle East twice to help refugees and youth in poor and war-torn areas. Because of this, I know that not everyone is as fortunate as I am to have the opportunity to receive a good education. That's why I believe in equal learning and the right to education for everyone, and my mission is to make this a reality. My plan of action is to connect with children living in poverty-stricken areas and give them equal access to education by teaching them English for free. English has become the most commonly used language in today's world and social economy. Learning English can change the whole life of many people, bring about different career prospects, and even open countless employment and development opportunities. This is my short announcement. witnessed and experienced in the process. I hope that through my efforts, I can bring opportunities to these young people, change their destiny, and be their blessing! Hello, my name is T.Y. and I come from California. I am now in my first year at a local high school. I like to learn something new and usually I finish my homework for the day before school so that when I get home I can do some other things I enjoy like reading, watching videos or playing games. I graduated from junior high school with all A grades and received the Principal's Honor Award, which is a small achievement of mine. Since I was a child, I have had the privilege to travel to various places of the non-western world. Some of the places are war-torn regions where you may never want to be. I have visited refugee camps and play with the poor children over there. Such field trips have left me a very deep impression and their life stories touched me. Those kids are smart like me, but they don't see any future and hope in life. I found that if they could speak English, it might open a window to their future life and bring many unexpected opportunities. I believe that my ability to speak English is a gift and I am willing to help them by teaching my native English to those who want to learn it. I discussed my thoughts with my parents, and after a period of prayer, starting from this school year, I decided to devote an hour a day to teaching English to children who want to be educated. The financial situation of these kids is terrible, they don't have the money to buy a tablet and pay for the internet, so they also need someone to give them some financial assistance so that they can really get my help. In those regions where supplies are extremely scarce, the price of a tablet computer is as high as $400, and the annual Internet traffic fee is also as high as $300. I have a dream that one day people will no longer have bad intentions. I have a dream that nothing will ever be stolen. I have a dream that no one will be judged by stuff they have. I have a dream that everyone will be good. I have a dream that we no longer will need to fight for our things. I have a dream that we all work together and live happily.
